Many had thought that the Palin Reality Show would have cost much more than that so the number is a bit of a surprise. The former Governor of Alaska is looking forward to showing off her home state as well as working with the Discovery Channel, home of Kate Goslin, as she and her family watch that channel anyway.

There has been no announcement of an airing date as the Palin Reality Show has yet to be filmed. The Palin Reality Show almost guarantees that there wll be a strong audience as haters and lovers of Palin will surely watch. Sarah Palin has done some other TV work since she resigned as Governer of Alaska, most notably working with Fox News as a commentator.

It is also not known what time or day the Palin Reality Show will be on but you can almost guarantee it will get a prime spot on the Discovery Channel lineup.

The comedian’s live tour will begin in Eugene, Ore., on April 12 and make a stop, on April 24 and 25, at Universal Studios in Los Angeles (yes, the same entertainment complex owned by O’Brien’s longtime employer, NBC Universal, and just a stone’s throw away from the glitzy studio that NBC built for O’Brien to host “The Tonight Show,” a job that lasted less than eight months).

O’Brien, sidekick Andy Richter and members of O’Brien’s band will make stops in Vancouver, British Columbia; Boulder, Colo., Chicago; Atlantic City, N.J.; and in New York City at Radio City Music Hall — across the street from NBC’s corporate headquarters, 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Tickets start at $39.50.

“It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house,” O’Brien said in a release announcing the event.

Who would have thought that a Television show that focuses on bringing in bad talent to dance would have lasted 10 seasons? Of course there have been some good dancers but the majority of the talent has been mediocre and a fair amount has been absolutely awful.

It goes to show you that people still like to rubberneck when they see an accident scene and if you put that kind of product on the small screen, you will make money as this franchise is doing.

The expected settings are to be intimate and casual and will air the week prior to the Academy Awards which will air on March 7th.

The date and time of this year’s “The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special” will be March 3rd at 10:00 ET and will surely be watched by millions. Oprah, the brand, is a winner on the small screen and commands an audience that will cause advertisers to fall all over themselves trying to get some of that prime advertising space.

While dollar figures are not to be expected to rival the Super Bowl, the numbers will be very strong and this show is expected to be the most watched of the evening.  Oprah has made herself one of the most popular and clean marketing brands with her award winning TV show, a popular magazine, “O”, and has made multi-millionaires out of Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz.

Oprah even has a store where you can buy all things Oprah as well as a book club where she advertises all manner of things.

This gal from Baltimore has taken her pleasant personality, her enthusiam and her easy manner and turned it into a money machine!

Boston Rob’s TV accomplishments include two stints on The Amazing Race as well as a few poker shows.  This survivor has taken what was laid out before him and run with it as much as he possibly could.  Mariano was also a co-host of the six-week Sci Fi series Sci Fi Investigates. The show investigates subjects such as Bigfoot, Mothman, Paranormal Hotspots, Roswell, The Afterlife and Voodoo.

I doubt that this poker pro wanna be is getting huge money but it sure seems that he is able to continue to feed his family as they moved from Pensacola Florida to Las Vegas, Nevada so Boston Rob could become Vegas Rob.
Between their two appearances on The Amazing Race the couple filmed a 10-episode show for the Fox Reality Channel, Rob and Amber: Against the Odds in 2006, which aired the following year. Set in Las Vegas, the program follows Mariano’s attempts to become a professional poker player and features professional player Daniel Negreanu tutoring him. The series ended abruptly after Rob and Amber Mariano accepted the offer to appear on The Amazing Race: All-Stars.

So we have an ordinary guy that does his best to get people to hate him and turns his ability to be disliked into a career.  Good work if you can get it and Boston Rob has used what he had in order to develop a brand and turn himself into a business.

Not the business model taught in Harvard but that kind of thinking out of the box is working well for him.
